Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVE in DELHI

Upon arrival in Delhi, meet Zenith World Tours representative at arrival lounge, where you will be welcomed and greeted in Indian tradition. After traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) ceremony, our company representative will assist you on your transfer to hotel and check in. (Check in Time 1200Hrs.). Rest of the time to relax and get free yourself from jet leg. Overnight Hotel – Delhi

Day 2 DELHI CITY TOUR

After breakfast procced to a guided tour of Od Delhi; the historic part of the metropolis Delhi. This walled city of Shahjahanabad was built in the 17th century. Visit the great Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India. Built by Shah Jahan in the year 1656 AD, it served as the imperial mosque of the Mughal emperors until the demise of the empire in 1857. It remains as one of Delhi’s most beautiful architectures. Explore Chandni Chowk, also known as the Moonlight Square. Designed by Princess Jahanara Begum, Shah Jahan's favourite daughter, in 1650 CE, originally containing 1,560 shops, the bazaar was 40 yards wide by 1,520 yards long. . Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most photogenic journey of the tour. Drive past the Red Fort, built in the year 1648 as the palace fort of Shahjahanabad, the new capital of the fifth Mughal Emperor of India, it showcases the zenith of Mughal creativity. Later today proceed to guided city tour of New Delhi. We will begin with Qutub Minar, built in 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek, it’s the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a specimen of Indo-Islamic architecture, symbolizes India's rich cultural and religious history. Next visit the Sikh Temple Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, characterized by majestic golden domes; here you will enter barefoot, as required by tradition, and you will be able to observe the faithful in prayer and visit the "miraculous lake", where believers immerse themselves to receive spiritual benefits. You will also have the opportunity to visit the temple kitchen, which offers free meals to thousands of people every day. Conclude the day with photo stop at India Gate, a monumental arch built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the WW1& the Afghan Wars. Drive by President's House, Rashtrapati Bhavan or until 1950s was known as Viceroy's House. Built in the year 1931 it served as the residence of the Governor-general of British India and currently is the official residence of the President of India. Overnight Hotel – Delhi (Breakfast)

Day 3 DELHI – JAIPUR

After breakfast drive to Jaipur, popularly known as ‘The Pink City’, this colourful city is the capital of Rajasthan and the most important city of heritage in India. Founded in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, it’s the only city in the world sub-divided into nine rectangular sectors, symbolising nine divisions of the universe, instilling sense of quite calm and space. Arrive in Jaipur and check in at hotel. In the evening, visit Galta Ji Temple, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site nestled amidst the scenic Aravalli Hills. Enjoy a mesmerizing sunset over the surrounding landscape before witnessing the enchanting evening Aarti, where devotional chants, ringing bells, and illuminated lamps create a serene spiritual ambiance. Day 4 JAIPUR CITY TOUR

After breakfast the magnificent Amber Fort. Overlooking the Maota Lake, this palace was commenced under the reign of Raja Man Singh. It is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site along with five other remarkable 'Hill Forts of Rajasthan’. In the Afternoon, we’ll visit the City Palace which remains one of the finest, most opulent, and well-maintained palaces. Occupying its centre is a seven-storeys called Chandra Palace, with its unrivalled picturesque view of Jaipur. Visit Jantar Mantar (Observatory), an astronomical observation site built in the early 18th century. It includes a set of some 20 main fixed instruments. They are monumental examples in masonry of known instruments but which in many cases have specific characteristics of their own. Visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), an iconic five-storey structure of pink sandstone built in the year 1799 for royal ladies to peer down the busy street market through its 593 stone Jharokas (mini windows), unseen by the world. Embark on the unique experience of “The Pink Rickshaw Ride” in the "Pink City" – Explore the hidden secrets in the walled city of Jaipur with the unique design' eco-friendly e-rickshaw, driven by intelligent, enthusiastic and well-trained women. All from low-income families. The tour provides a glimpse into the soul of the old city, providing a new source of income for these women. With a stylized folding canopy, ergonomic seats, mechanical improvements for added safety, city maps, guides, mobile phone charging, water bottle/newspaper holder, locker etc, the ride itself is a unique experience. In the evening, continue for a walk in the "pink city" to observe the artisans. Proceed for an unforgettable experience sipping local chai (tea) from a kulhad (clay cups) in Jaipur's vibrant market. Drinking chai from a kulhad is not just a drink, it is an immersion in the soul of the city. Proceed from the cacophony of colours and sounds, to the corners where chaiwala (tea vendors) expertly prepare chai in kulhads. The appeal of these traditional clay cups is that they not only keep the tea warm, but also infuse it with a distinct earthy flavour. Overnight Hotel – Jaipur (Breakfast)

Day 5 JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Jaipur and begin your journey to Agra, a city steeped in Mughal grandeur and home to some of India’s most iconic monuments. En route, stop for a guided visit to the historic Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of Emperor Akbar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its beautifully preserved red sandstone structures, including the Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, and the elegant Palace of Jodha Bai, which reflect a unique blend of Islamic, Hindu, and Persian architecture. As you walk through the silent courtyards and halls, imagine the once-thriving city that was mysteriously abandoned due to water scarcity. After the visit, continue your drive to Agra, arriving by late afternoon. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax after the day’s travel. The evening is free at leisure to unwind, explore the local surroundings, or enjoy the hotel’s amenities in preparation for the wonders of Agra awaiting the next day. Day 6 AGRA – DELHI (Distance: 200Kms/4Hrs) – DEPARTURE (FLIGHT: TBA)

Early by the sunrise, when the pink rays of the sun envelop it in a veil of unreality, visit the incredible Taj Mahal a UNESCO world heritage site listed amongst the seven modern wonder of the world. This greatest architectural achievement was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, in the memory of his wife Mumtaj Mahal, who died giving birth to their child. Grieving after his beloved wife he illustrated his love as the inspiration of this iconic shrine, at unprecedented scale and cost. Thousands of elephants carried dazzling white marble over 300km. Semi-precious stones were brought in from Tibet, Persia and as far as Russia. Floral ornaments made of jasper, agate, malachite, opal, and mother-of-pearl was skilfully inscribed in perfect symmetry on the snow-white building, bequeathing a feeling of weightlessness. The main gateway was decorated with 22 white towers representing the number of years it took to build it, and a concluding passage in Arabic reading “Enter my paradise”. After visit return to hotel for breakfast. (Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday) Later today visit the Agra Fort. Built in 1565 by Emperor Akbar the Great, it housed Sheesh Mahal and Khas Mahal, Shah Jahan’s residence when he was imprisoned by his son. A combination of Islamic, Persian, Turkish and South-Asian architecture, this fortified city was doubly enforced with crocodiles in the wet moat of the outer wall, whilst the dry moat of the inner wall was populated with tigers. Later drive back to Delhi, upon arrival transfer to Delhi International airport as per your flight schedule to fly back home.
